Job Description
The United States Postal Service is seeking an outstanding attorney to join its team in our Corporate Law section. The selected attorney will represent the Postal Service in meetings and negotiations with top 500 companies and other federal agencies and provide legal support on key Delivering for America initiatives related to revenue growth, strategic industry and customer relationships, and the role of the modern Post Office as a community hub and storefront for government services.
Duties 1. Conducts legal research and prepares written material for use in representing the Postal Service and advising postal management officials. 2. Participates in conferences necessary to representing or advising Postal Service officials. 3. Directly advises postal management officials and represents the Postal Service in legal matters involving outside parties. 4. Prepares replies to inquiries from Congress, government agencies, and the public. 5. Prepares opinions, memoranda, decisions, regulations, testimonies, or formal filings in proceedings in which the Postal Service is a party. Salary- $129,280 - $196,180/year
