
Keches Law Group, P.C. is the largest personal injury law firm in New England specializing in the practice areas of workers' compensation, personal injury, and medical malpractice.
We are seeking an Attorney with three to five years’ experience and admission to the Massachusetts Bar for our Bridgewater or Milton offices.
Workers' Compensation Associate Attorney
Responsibilities:
- Represent injured workers in all aspects of workers' compensation claims, including filing claims, attending hearings, mediations, and depositions, and negotiating settlements.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Develop case strategies and maintain communication with clients, medical providers, and opposing counsel.
- Manage a high-volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Mentor and collaborate with junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff as needed.
- Stay current on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar and in good standing.
- 3-5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law on plaintiff’s side is preferable but not required.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with case management software and legal research tools.
- Ability to handle cases independently while working collaboratively within a team environment.
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- On-site position with flexibility for court appearances and remote work as needed.
- Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office setting. Standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, and copiers, is routinely used.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally be required to sit, stand, walk, and carry case files or materials up to 20 pounds.
