Clyde & Co is seeking an Insurance Coverage Litigation Associate with 2 to 4 years of experience for its Boston office. The ideal candidate would be proactive, motivated, possesses superior writing skills and have experience with general liability, excess, directors & officers, construction defect, healthcare, environmental, toxic tort and/or other types of liability insurance coverage matters and with extracontractual claims.
Responsibilities
Analysis and generation of advice regarding insurance coverage for underlying claims and litigation;
Monitoring underlying litigation;
Representing insurers in all phases of coverage and extracontractual litigation with policyholders and claimants, including:
Preparation of pleadings
Written, documentary and deposition discovery
Motion practice
Settlement
Hearings and trial
Appeals
Education and Experience
J.D. 2018 - 2022
Admission to practice in Massachusetts (required);
Admission to practice in other Northeastern states (not required, but a plus);
Excellent academic credentials
Relevant experience
Skills and Ability
Exceptional legal analysis, research, writing and communication skills;
Strong interpersonal skills:
Proficiency with document management and review systems and software
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects;
Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
