POSITION TITLE: Accounts Receivable Clerk
LOCATION: Shawnee, OK
STATUS: Full-Time Immediate Opening
CLOSING: Open Until Filled
SALARY: $32,000 - $35,000 Commensurate with Experience and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: This position has dual responsibilities and will be responsible for assisting with the financial operations within our Bogus Check, Fees, and DA Supervision department and serving as clerical assistant within our Seizure/Forfeiture asset division.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Collection calls and/or correspondence in a goal-oriented collections department
- Receiving and processing payments
- Daily and monthly account reconciliations
- Answer telephone calls and respond to questions from defendants and victims
- Maintain customer files
- Negotiate payment schedules
- Prepare Restitution Agreements
- Communicate and follow up effectively
- Various accounting functions
- Perform other assigned tasks and duties as necessary
- Prepare and/or verify daily deposits
- Prepare court dockets related to collections as needed
- Filing legal documents with county court clerk
- Researching and mailing legal documents
- Assist with preparation and obtaining service of forfeiture documents
- Communicate with law enforcement as needed
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Professional in presentation of self
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Meticulous and strong attention to detail
- Team-player and able to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficient in use of various office applications to include Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word
- Basic understanding of accounts payable and receivable functions and/or collections procedures
- Dependable and reliable
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent or higher
- Must pass background check
- Experience in Bounceback and JustWare applications is helpful but not required.
- Foundational knowledge of the criminal justice system is helpful but not required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Predominantly operates in an office environment and must be able to operate standard office equipment, phones and keyboards.
- Must have the ability to walk short distances and lift up to 25lbs.
- Office hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday
