
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, analyze, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including but not limited to dealer contracts, supplier arrangements, and regional distribution partnerships.
- Advise on multi-state legal and regulatory compliance related to the sale and distribution of powersports vehicles.
- Oversee legal matters involving liability and risk, particularly in connection with product performance and vehicle-related incidents.
- Work cross-functionally with departments such as Sales, Warranty, Compliance, and Finance to ensure legal perspectives are integrated into company operations.
- Develop and maintain internal legal protocols and ensure proper documentation, process consistency, and risk management.
- Coordinate with external law firms on specialized issues.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments affecting the powersports and broader mobility sectors at both the state and federal levels.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in the state of Texas
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is required for effective communication with stakeholders.
- At least 5 years of relevant legal experience, with a background in corporate law, contract negotiation, and regulatory matters—preferably in both in-house and law firm environments
- Solid understanding of product liability, dealership regulations, and licensing frameworks for vehicles and equipment
- Excellent communication, drafting, and negotiation skills, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Industry experience in powersports, automotive, or mobility is a strong plus, though not required
Pay: From $70,000-$90,000 per year
