Financial Restructuring & Reorganization Associate Attorney

 

Locations: Atlanta, GA, or New York, NY

 

Our client, a leading AmLaw 50 law firm with a nationally recognized financial restructuring practice, is seeking a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join their Financial Restructuring & Reorganization team. This opportunity is available in either their Atlanta or New York office.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • Active bar admission in Georgia or New York.
  • 2–4 years of substantive experience in business reorganization, restructuring, bankruptcy-related litigation, and bankruptcy law.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal issues related to financial restructuring.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise and represent clients in business reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Manage all aspects of bankruptcy-related litigation, including strategy development, case management, and negotiation.
  • Draft and review restructuring documents, including plans of reorganization and disclosure statements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional legal teams to provide strategic counsel to clients navigating financial distress.
  • Work with creditors, debtors, and stakeholders to resolve high-stakes financial challenges.
