A leading biopharmaceutical company dedicated to advancing treatments for autoimmune and rare diseases is seeking a Director, Transactions & Contracts Counsel. This role will support a variety of business functions, including finance, clinical operations, quality, research, and development. The ideal candidate is a collaborative team player who can operate both strategically and tactically to meet the companys contracting needs. Responsibilities:- Contracts Administration:
- Support general contracting and contracts administration across multiple departments to manage and streamline contracting needs.
- Contract Negotiation:
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and execute a wide range of agreements, including:
- Confidentiality agreements
- Clinical trial agreements
- Research agreements
- Material transfer agreements
- Supply agreements
- Statements of work
- Quality agreements
- Prepare, review, negotiate, and execute a wide range of agreements, including:
- Legal and Business Support:
- Provide legal guidance for research, development, quality, and clinical operations functions.
- Outside Counsel Management:
- Oversee and manage external counsel engagements as necessary.
- Additional Legal Support:
- Offer legal assistance across various needs, adapting to the companys evolving requirements.
- Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school, with strong academic credentials.
- Licensure:
- Active, in good standing with the bar in at least one U.S. state.
- Experience:
- 5-10 years of legal experience, including substantial expertise in contract negotiation and providing business advice.
- Ideally, experience within a company that has advanced-stage clinical or commercial products.
- Skills:
- Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Proven organizational abilities to manage multiple contracts and assignments.
- Adaptability to changing deadlines and priorities, with the ability to effectively prioritize a high volume of work.
- Personable and collaborative, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and external partners.
- High degree of ethical standards and accountability.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
- Travel:
- Willingness to travel up to 5%.
