
Under the supervision of the Chief Assistant Prosecuting Attorney, reviews and authorizes requests for warrants, determines the appropriate charge, and prosecutes criminal cases. Is assigned criminal cases in the District Court and may be assigned delinquency cases and child protective proceedings in the Circuit Court-Family Division. Assists with a felony caseload with other matters as assigned. Attempts to resolve and adjudicate assigned criminal cases or tries case in court.
Juris Doctorate Degree and two years of experience as a prosecuting attorney or equivalent criminal court experience, including experience with domestic relations, family support and/or felony cases. The County, at its discretion, may consider an alternative combination of formal education and work experience. License to practice law in the State of Michigan and a member in good standing with the Michigan Bar Association.
Current salary range starting at $33.69 - $43.90/hr (7-year progression) with a competitive fringe benefit package.
