Mid-Level Attorney – Structured Finance Practice

Location: Chicago preferably, but could sit in D.C. or NYC

Salary: Commensurate with experience ranging from $225,00 - $400,000 per year

Firm: One of the top 10 law firms in the country, but very boutique. Expect 2,000 hours yearly.

Our esteemed national law firm is actively seeking a dedicated and highly skilled attorney to join our dynamic Financial Transactions Group as a Mid-Level or Senior Associate. This is an exceptional prospect for accomplished legal professionals aiming to elevate their careers within a practice renowned for handling intricate and high-value structured finance matters.

The incumbent will assume a pivotal role in a broad spectrum of complex transactional work, contributing to the design and execution of innovative financial instruments and securitizations. This position requires a profound understanding of sophisticated deal mechanics and the acumen to address multifaceted legal and regulatory challenges.

We invite applications from candidates who possess:

• A distinguished academic record from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction of their primary office location (or a commitment to promptly secure admission).
• A minimum of three to seven years (for mid-level) or seven-plus years (for senior) of substantive experience in corporate finance, capital markets, or general corporate transactional law, preferably cultivated at a leading law firm.
• Demonstrable expertise in drafting and negotiating complex legal agreements and managing multifaceted transactions.

While not mandatory, a strong preference will be accorded to individuals with significant exposure to structured finance, securitization (including RMBS, CMBS, ABS, CLO), and other esoteric asset classes. A keen analytical mind, exceptional attention to detail, and the capacity to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment are crucial for success in this role.
