Job Summary
Job Description
- Responsible for evaluating risk and exposures on high liability and high-risk transactions to determine insurability.
- Effectively communicates underwriting solutions to agents, direct offices, and counsel.
- Promptly responds to inquiries and requests.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rate manuals.
- Leads special projects as assigned.
- Conducts seminars and training at industry event and for internal and external customers.
- Supports business partners.
Baseline Criteria
- Extensive knowledge of state and federal laws affecting title insurance and real property and the coverage in title insurance policies and endorsements.
- Superior ability to fashion creative resolutions to complex issues.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and create a positive work environment and cultivate strong relationships with customers and team members.
- Excellent listener.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Working knowledge of business and best practices gained through understanding of Stewart’s goals and key initiatives and experience.
- Individual contributor working with limited oversight.
- Takes initiative – proactive.
Experience
- Attorney should have at least ten years working in the real property field.
