
A well-established New Orleans law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Paralegal to support its busy maritime section, with work closely aligned to insurance defense litigation and some exposure to Defense Base Act (DBA) cases.

Key Responsibilities:

Download and organize files from clients and manage case documents using iManage or similar systems.

Draft and proofread legal documents, including litigation plans, discovery, and IME notices.

Assist attorneys with trial preparation and strategic planning.

Coordinate with clients, experts, and other parties throughout the litigation process.

Maintain accurate case files, calendars, deadlines, and schedules (including DBA-specific timelines).

Stay current on legal regulations and procedures relevant to assigned cases.
Qualifications:

Prior law firm experience required; litigation experience strongly preferred.

Familiarity with Defense Base Act (DBA) cases a plus.

Proficient in case management software and legal administrative tasks.

Strong attention to detail and excellent proofreading skills.

Effective communicator with solid organizational and time management skills.
