Kirton McConkie, a large Salt Lake City law firm, has an exciting employment opportunity for an experienced legal assistant to work in its corporate section. The ideal candidate will have a positive "can-do" attitude, and have the ability to multi-task in a high volume, time-sensitive, and high-profile environment.
Responsibilities
- Research federal, state, and local matters;
- Make multi-jurisdictional filings;
- Interface with internal and external clients
- Format and construct various correspondence and other legal documents;
- Manage correspondence between attorney and clients;
- Organize, file, and maintain physical and electronic files in a paperless environment;
- Oversight of individual client preferences, client accounts, client invoices and requests;
- Maintain attorney calendar;
- Client Intake;
- Drafting basic forms;
- Proofreading draft documents
- Provide proactive and advanced legal support; and
- Other tasks as needed.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial registered agents and business search requests in foreign jurisdictions;
- Knowledge of court requirements and procedures;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Ability to meet required deadlines, multi-task, prioritize, organize, and work calmly under pressure;
- High attention to detail, be proactive, and self-motivated;
- Ability to both follow instructions, and to think and work independently;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Professional appearance and attitude;
- Two years of corporate and/or related transactional experience preferred; and
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
