Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, but will also be familiar with real estate transactions, basic construction law and company legal issues. This role involves supporting our in-house legal team on a wide range of legal issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on statutes, judicial decisions, legal articles, and other pertinent sources
- Document Preparation: Draft, review, and manage a range of legal documents including pleadings, discovery materials, contracts, leases and closing documents.
- Contract Management: Assist in the preparation and review of construction contracts and subcontracts.
- Complian.Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations in construction and real estate.
- Case Management: Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a paralegal in Texas.
- Education: Paralegal certification or degree in paralegal studies.
Skills:
- Proficient in legal research and writing.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with Texas court rules and procedures.
- Proficiency in legal database software and MS Office.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Details:
- This position is in Downtown Houston, Texas 77002.
- The annual salary is $65,000 to $78,000 paid bi-weekly.
- Full Time Benefits: After completion of a probationary period, you will be eligible for full-time company benefits.
- This is an on-site role. We do not offer remote or hybrid working opportunities.
- The ideal candidate must be available to start with two weeks of acceptance date.
