As our practice grows, we are seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal to join our team. In this role, you will support attorneys through every stage of the litigation process, from case management and trial preparation to coordinating with clients and legal experts. What you'll do:
- Case Management: Take charge of all aspects of litigation, from filing petitions to case resolution, ensuring meticulous organization of case files. Monitor deadlines well in advance and oversee trial preparation with precision.
- Document Preparation: Prepare pleadings, motions, and discovery documents with a sharp focus on accuracy and legal compliance, playing a key role in case development.
- Client and Expert Coordination: Act as the liaison between clients, witnesses, and expert witnesses, gathering vital evidence and maintaining effective communication to strengthen cases.
- Trial Assistance: Assist attorneys with trial preparation, from organizing case files and preparing trial exhibits to attending trials, ensuring seamless execution of litigation strategies.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor paralegals, ensuring a high level of team productivity. Coordinate tasks effectively, contributing to the firm’s overall litigation success.
What we're looking for:
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience handling large, complex litigation cases, preferably in personal injury litigation. We are seeking a seasoned professional who demonstrates maturity, commitment, and sound judgment, with a proven ability to excel in high-pressure environments. The ideal candidate should have a stable career trajectory, showing dedication and loyalty to the firm (medical malpractice experience is a plus and preferred but not necessary).
- Longevity & Independence: Seeking someone who has demonstrated career stability and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while excelling in litigation-heavy environments.
- Attention to Detail: Exhibit exceptional attention to detail, ensuring every deadline is met, trial settings are maintained, and no aspect of case preparation is overlooked.
- Technology Skills: Adaptability in working with case management software, with a keen understanding of legal procedures and the ability to handle fast-paced litigation tasks efficiently.
