About the Position:
The City of Grand Junction is searching for a Court Clerk to support the administrative, financial, and clerical operations of the municipal court services and provide assistance and information to the general public. This position will also support and assist the Municipal Court Judge during court sessions and works closely with the City Attorney’s office. The position reports to the Municipal Court Administrator. The ideal candidate will have previous court experience, good time management skills, and experience working in a fast paced environment. About the City of Grand Junction Municipal Court:
The City of Grand Junction is predominantly a traffic court that also hears minor misdemeanor, animal control, and minor in possession cases. The Municipal Court Judge is appointed by the City Council. The Judge represents the judicial component of the court, the City Attorney is the prosecutorial component of the court, and the Administrator represents the business operation of the court.

What You'll Do:
- Respond to customer inquiries about ordinances, regulations, policies, and procedures; research and direct to appropriate City departments.
- Provide customer service for municipal court and parking services, including ticket processing, payments, and coordinating court-related deadlines.
- Manage court schedules and documentation, prepare legal documents, and track payments, fines, and court orders.
- Coordinate municipal court functions, assist the Municipal Judge, and handle video arraignments with staff and external agencies.
- Prepare, process, and revise legal documents, including warrants and subpoenas, and generate reports using court software systems.

What We're Looking For:
- Three (3) years of administrative support experience specifically in court, judicial and/or law enforcement or related field.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid Colorado driver's license.
