Law Clerk Internship (Summer 2025 Extern/Internship)
Wilhite Law Firm, an award-winning firm specializing in personal injury law, is seeking a dedicated Law Clerk Intern.
Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience in the legal field by assisting with a variety of tasks including legal research, writing memorandums, drafting briefs, and preparing letters. This is an excellent opportunity for a law student or recent graduate to apply their academic knowledge in a practical setting and to develop their professional skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough and effective legal research on a range of topics to support case preparation and ongoing legal matters. Utilize legal databases and resources to gather relevant information.
- Writing Memorandums: Prepare clear and concise legal memorandums that summarize research findings, analyze legal issues, and offer recommendations.
- Drafting Briefs: Assist in drafting legal briefs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal standards and formats.
- Preparing Letters: Draft and proofread formal correspondence and letters related to legal matters, ensuring clarity and professionalism.
- Additional Tasks: Support attorneys and legal staff with various administrative and legal tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a law school or a related legal program.
- Strong research skills with proficiency in legal research databases and tools.
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and work independently.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and principles is preferred.
