Job Description

Position Purpose:  Under general supervision, the Associate Director, Systems Analysis, will partner with various business areas, serving as a project coordinator, business analyst, tester, and mentor for staff. This role involves active participation in projects as a Business Systems Analyst and leading a team of Business Analysts to provide expertise in the analysis, configuration, and testing of business applications. The position demands a balanced proficiency in analysis, project management, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks:

  • Provides leadership in requirements gathering and testing phases of SDLC/projects.
  • Works with business leaders and internal IT Partners to ensure coordination and completion of work efforts.
  • Consults with business partners to identify and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, workflows, problems, input and output requirements, usage, formatting and security requirements.
  • Analyzes business processes and user requirements to document project scope.
  • Develops, coordinates, and implements plans to test business and functional processes during system development and quality assurance testing.
  • Identifies program, application and system problems and resolutions.
  • Creates or assists others in the writing of user documentation, instructions and procedures.
  • Prepares deployment plans and manages release schedules.
  • Monitors and documents post-implementation problems and revision requests.
  • Plans, assigns and reviews work of other analysts.
  • Develops and improve existing project execution processes to align to DevOps, Agile and waterfall efforts.
  • Coach and mentors business systems analyst team.
  • Solves complex business problems.
  • Complete all required training applicable to assigned position.
  • Additional duties as requested or required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of computer science or business administration.
  • 10 years’ relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft Visio and SQL
  • Data analysis and Project Management skills
  • Ability to lead other business analysts and develop team members in best practices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to interface with cross-functional partners and senior management
  • Ability to effectively and consistently execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Must have ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
  • Proven track record for consistently meeting or exceeding goals and objectives
