Job Description

Potter Anderson & Corroon LLP, a leading Delaware law firm with a sophisticated and diverse business practice, is seeking a highly experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our General Litigation Group.

This is a key role within a lean, collaborative team supporting a wide range of complex matters, including business and commercial litigation, employment disputes, healthcare and insurance litigation, products liability, intellectual property matters, trade secrets, and contract disputes.

We are looking for a confident, self-directed paralegal who can step into a high-impact role, take ownership of cases, and serve as a trusted partner to attorneys through all phases of litigation—from case inception through trial and resolution.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide high-level litigation support across all phases of a matter, including case development, discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation.
  • Take ownership of case management, including maintaining files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating litigation calendars, depositions, and hearings.
  • Draft and assist in the preparation of pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.
  • Prepare and manage exhibits, appendices, and compendiums for court filings.
  • Oversee and coordinate e-filing and service of legal documents in Delaware state and federal courts.
  • Assist attorneys with legal research, cite-checking, and Bluebook citation review.
  • Organize and manage discovery, including document productions.
  • Support deposition preparation, including assembling exhibits and materials.
  • Prepare for and attend trials and hearings, including managing trial logistics, exhibits, and coordination with co-counsel and court personnel.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and vendors.

 REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10+ years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally supporting complex litigation matters across a range of areas, including commercial litigation, insurance defense, employment, intellectual property, and other sophisticated disputes.
  • Strong working knowledge of Delaware state and federal court procedures.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting trial teams and coordinating trial logistics.
  • Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including proofreading and Bluebook citation review.
  • Proficiency with Westlaw, Lexis, PACER, and Lexis File & Serve (or similar systems).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team.
  • Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to support trial and litigation deadlines
