We are seeking a skilled Senior Voice Infrastructure Engineer to support and evolve our enterprise voice infrastructure. This role requires hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams Voice, a solid understanding of legacy Avaya systems, and familiarity with Teams-certified devices such as Polycom handsets. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the transition from traditional PBX systems to modern cloud-based voice solutions, ensuring seamless communication across the organization.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and support Microsoft Teams Voice solutions, including policies, Operator Connect, and Auto Attendant configurations.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to ensure QoS, SBC configuration, and voice traffic optimization.
- Troubleshoot and resolve voice-related incidents and service requests escalated from the Service Desk including authoring of support articles as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation of voice infrastructure, call flows, and device inventory.
- Participate in voice-related projects, including office expansions, migrations, and DR testing.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation of Teams Voice administration tasks.
- Stay current with Microsoft 365 roadmap updates and industry best practices in unified communications.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently; monitor progress and implementation ensuring project requirements and Firm standards are met.
- Anticipate future requirements and create plans for meeting systems needs.
- Perform regular, necessary maintenance.
- Maintain technical documentation and inventory in all areas of responsibility.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Skills And Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience with voice solutions.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams Voice and Microsoft 365 administration and Operator Connect.
- Understanding of call delegation, management, call queues, emergency routing addresses, and auto-attendants.
- Working knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager, Session Manager, and System Manager.
- Experience with Teams-certified devices (such as Polycom) and their provisioning platforms.
- Strong understanding of network topologies, signaling protocols, and other voice-specific technologies such as SIP, SBCs, and PSTN routing.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for Teams Voice automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience maintaining and testing redundant solutions.
- Knowledge of industry trends and emerging UC technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with competing requirements and deadlines.
- Can organize, prioritize, plan and multi-task work activities, with the ability to effectively meet deadlines in a high pressure environment.
Preferred
- Integrating Avaya with other phone systems.
- Experience with voice solutions deployed to mobile devices.
- Certifications such as ACIS and ACSS.
- MS-700 or MS-720 certifications.
Physical Demands (required to perform essential job functions)

The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions as in typical office or administrative work (normal light, air and space in the work environment)
Salary Information
NY Only: The estimated base salary range for this position is $165,000 to $195,000 at the time of posting.
The actual salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. This role is exempt meaning it is not overtime pay eligible.
