
General Purpose:
The Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist will report to the Litigation Docketing Manager and is a client focused, detail-oriented position that provides multi-jurisdictional litigation docketing support firm wide. The Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist is a fast-paced role, assigned to 20+ filings/day and 6+ attorney requests. Holland & Hart operates in over 100 jurisdictions and so the ability to familiarize oneself with local rules and research as necessary is important. Rulings and filings differ in each jurisdiction, requiring good information retention.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Independently dockets for designated assigned group(s), which may consist of specific offices, practice groups, and/or jurisdictions.
- Thoroughly reviews filed documents and written docketing requests to ensure all deadlines are identified and docketed. This may include quality review of other team member's assigned work and providing feedback to ensure accuracy. Guides team members to learn and apply changing rules.
- Performs research as needed in the context of verifying applicability of deadlines.
- Verifies accuracy of docketed items and deadlines generated by the docketing software.
- Communicates regularly with case teams to gather additional information necessary to accurately maintain case docketing.
- Lead and assist with incoming requested court filings.
- Monitor cases with the use of various online resources and distribute documents, as requested, to case teams.
- Handle all case team inquiries and requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Process incoming litigation matters from various courts/agencies.
- Maintains and helps enforce Litigation Docketing Team protocols.
- Assist with team review and training by providing feedback and updates as needed.
- May support multiple high-complexity projects assigned by the Docketing Manager.
- Assist the Litigation Docketing Manager with other duties as needed, including advanced reporting, complex docketing procedures, and assigning work to other team members.
- Performs additional duties and tasks assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to supporting the firm’s overall objectives.

Supervisory Duties (if applicable):
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position will provide training, guidance on tasks, and review work of others.
Job Qualifications (Education, Experience and Certification):
- Minimum of 4 years litigation docketing, calendaring and civil procedure experience required, with a strong preference for candidates who have experience in a dedicated docketing role or team.
- Associate’s Degree, or Paralegal Certificate preferred.
- In depth knowledge of litigation process, court rules, and procedures. Navigates court websites and independently searches to adhere to court rules and apply to docketing.
- Experience utilizing Court Alert, CompuLaw, or similar docketing software preferred.
- Proven aptitude to learn new software applications.
- Ability to provide clear and concise training on litigation docketing processes and procedures.
- Professional integrity required and ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust with case teams.
- Ability to identify jurisdictions, courts and judges and apply specific court rules to events.
- Ability to read a legal document and determine if a future deadline is evident.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and to adapt to changing business demands.
- Strong analytical, data entry, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

This position is in-person Monday - Friday for the first 90 days, expected to transition to a hybrid role, in-office 2+ days/week, after the first 90 days.

Colorado Salary Range - $32.94 - $54.90 per hour. A discretionary bonus may be available based upon performance.
