Job Description

What you will be doing: Represent clients in all stages of workers' compensation litigation, including initial investigations, depositions, hearings, trials, and appeals. Provide legal advice and strategic defense plans to clients, ensuring the best possible outcomes in workers' compensation cases. Conduct thorough legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Analyze and interpret complex medical and legal documents. Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and other stakeholders. Negotiate settlements and advocate for clients' best interests. Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations and apply this knowledge to case strategy. Participate in continuing legal education and professional development activities to maintain and enhance legal expertise. Experience you will need: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in the California State Bar. 1-15 years of experience in workers' compensation defense. Strong knowledge of California workers' compensation laws and regulations. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to manage a caseload efficiently with exceptional organizational skills. Proven track record of successful case outcomes. Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be highly energetic and motivated.
