
Pillsbury’s Washington, DC office is seeking a highly skilled Paralegal for its Litigation Practice Group. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform cite checking and Blue Booking for legal documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
File pleadings with the court, ensuring proper formatting and timely submission.
Compile exhibits for various legal proceedings, such as trials, mediations, arbitrations, depositions, and court filings, including appendices for appeals.
Communicate with court personnel to facilitate filings and obtain necessary information.
Locate key documents in case files and organize them for easy access by attorneys and other team members.
Manage logistics for depositions and witness interviews, including scheduling, coordinating with participants, and securing necessary resources.
Coordinate with outside vendors, such as court reporters and document production services, to ensure smooth case progression.
Draft initial form pleadings and discovery documents under the guidance of attorneys.
Conduct investigative research to gather relevant information for cases.
Keep track of case deadlines and ensure timely completion of tasks and filings.
Work with electronically stored information (ESI) and document review databases, performing data searches and organizing data for use in litigation.
Summarize transcripts of depositions, hearings, and other proceedings.
Provide trial assistance, including preparing trial exhibit lists and trial notebooks, tracking exhibits, and preparing demonstratives.
A minimum of 3+ years' experience providing litigation support.
Bachelor’s degree or certificate of completion from an ABA-approved paralegal certification program of education and training.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with attorneys, court personnel, clients, and colleagues.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively in a busy environment.
Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting, collaborating with attorneys and other staff members.
High attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
Washington DC pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skillset and experience, is $75k - $95k.
