Paralegal (Remote - California)

As a Paralegal, you’ll play a key role in supporting attorneys with case preparation, court procedures, document review, and legislative tracking. Accountabilities:

• Draft basic legal documents and conduct initial review of discovery responses.
• Coordinate depositions and assist with preparation for small claims court hearings (primarily remote).
• Gather and organize case files for review by external counsel.
• Maintain and update the roster of ongoing litigation and track litigation progress.
• Review and process legal invoices and vendor fees in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitor pending and enacted legislation relevant to operations.
• Support attorneys with legal analysis and ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 4 years of experience in a litigation-focused legal practice.
• Bachelor’s degree and certified paralegal credentials.
• Residence in California and strong familiarity with the California Code of Civil Procedure.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities independently.
• Comfortable reviewing statutes, regulations, and interpreting legal texts accurately.
