We are seeking a driven Paralegal to join our in-house legal department. Candidate will be responsible for assisting the legal department with various legal activities involving contracts, corporate governance, general business matters, and employment issues. A successful candidate should possess high attention to detail, excellent computer and reasoning skills, effective communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities
- Organizing and maintaining corporate documents, including contracts, IP matters, corporate policies, M&A transaction documents, and general business matters.
- Play a key role in future initiatives such as updating/maintaining corporate contract management system, policy management, risk management, and IP management.
- Close coordination with outside counsel and internal departments to drive company objectives
- Review project due diligence documents and assist with legal review
- Prepare and maintain corporate records and documents
- Monitor and assist with business licensing and registration
- Assist with preparation of legal correspondence and routine contracts
- Manage and maintain corporate filings and documentation records
- Minimum 2 years’ experience corporate paralegal work
- Paralegal certification or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work independently, prioritize, meet deadlines and manage a large volume of contracts and associated documents
- Familiarity with use of contract management software preferred
- Willingness to do extensive reading and writing
- Excellent communication skills
- Practical and proactive problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure
- Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe and Docusign
- Moderate to high understanding of contract language and terminology
