We are seeking a Junior Corporate Attorney to join our legal team. This role requires a candidate with a flexible legal skillset, practical business sense, and the ability to tackle diverse daily challenges. We are growing, and are seeking a Junior Corporate Attorney who will shape the future of our expanding organization. This is an on-site, in office position.

  

Responsibilities:

Real Estate Transactions

  • Act as the principal to oversee real estate lending, acquisition, and disposition transactions through due diligence, title and survey review, document preparation, and post-closing administration.
  • Prepare and review legal documentation, including purchase and sale agreements, leases, and financing documents.

Corporate Governance & Compliance

  • Assist with entity formation, board resolutions, and shareholder meetings.
  • Oversee compliance related to private equity fund management and securities filings.
  • Execute mergers, acquisitions, and corporate spin-offs.

Litigation, Risk Management, and General Practice

  • Collaborate with outside counsel on litigation matters, zoning disputes, and environmental regulations.
  • Identify areas of risk in emerging company initiatives and advise on appropriate mitigation solutions. 
  • Conduct effective legal research at the direction of the General Counsel and Senior Compliance Officer.
  • Independently resolve isolated affairs intruding on the company’s focus of core objectives

Manage contracts and maintain a record retention system. 

Requirements

  

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Recent law school graduate or up to 5 years of legal experience.
  • Experience with commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Westlaw, or similar tools.
  • Experience with private equity investment funds, and preparation of routine securities filings (preferred but not required).
  • Familiarity with Telephone Consumer Protection Act, Telemarketing Sales Rule, and data collection and privacy laws and regulations (preferred but not required)
  • Experience in acquiring and protecting trademarks and intellectual property (preferred but not required)

Pay $65,000 - 85,000 DOE, with ability for accelerated salary compensation increases and potential for merit based bonuses.
