JOB Description

Summary of Position

The Litigation Paralegal will support the Litigation/Warranty team with a variety of projects, including assisting in the evaluation and resolution of litigation matters and warranty disputes. This position will also complete special projects as assigned and assist the Legal Department as needed.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist the Legal team in the analysis, management and tracking of litigation matters and warranty disputes.
  • Work with the Litigation team in addressing customer service matters and bringing warranty disputes and litigation matters to a resolution.
  • Prepare basic legal documents, including internal and external correspondence.
  • Assist in evaluating subpoenas and gathering and preparing responsive documents.
  • Conduct legal research and obtain relevant documents from online sources.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders in performing factual research.
  • Undertake various administrative responsibilities, including copying, scanning, and finalizing documentation for distribution, and uploading information and documents into SharePoint.
  • Maintain high level of decorum and professionalism.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • Completion of Paralegal Education (Certificate) or Paralegal Certification preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant legal analyst, paralegal, or claims experience.
  • Time management skills and the ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Demonstrated computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

 

Work Availability 

  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
  • Must be regularly available and willing to work at least full workdays from Monday through Friday and such other hours as the Company determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs.
