Remote In-House Paralegal

Job Purpose/Summary

HomeRiver Group is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Full-time In-House Paralegal with some litigation support experience to join our Legal team remotely. This role is perfect for a legal professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys collaborating cross-functionally, but also independence and autonomy over core tasks. You'll play a key part in supporting litigation management, corporate governance, compliance, contract management, and general legal operations. This position is fully remote and will report to the General Counsel.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Create litigation files, work with insurance companies on open claims, facilitate litigation holds, track and report on litigation budgets and oversee litigation file management
• Review, track and oversee the management of a wide range of contracts and legal documents.
• Maintain and organize legal files, records, and tracking data related to the legal department.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external counsel as needed
• Assist with regulatory filings and compliance processes
• Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting the company
• Provide administrative support to the legal team

✅ Qualifications - Required

• 3+ years of experience in supporting litigation and/or in-house litigation management
• Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and compliance issues
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working autonomously and managing shifting priorities in a remote setting
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Tech-savvy, with experience using legal software tools (e.g., Google Suite, CLM systems, DocuSign)

✅ Qualifications - Preferred

• Paralegal certificate from an accredited program or equivalent experience
• Insurance defense experience
• Real estate licensing experience
