Position Title: Legal Administrative Intern
Location: Providence, RI (On-site)
Duration: January 6 – May 6, 2025 (Possibility of Extension Based on Performance)
Hours: Part-time, up to 15 hours per week
Compensation: $15/hour

Position Overview:
Chisholm Chisholm & Kilpatrick is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced legal environment while supporting administrative functions and learning about veterans’ disability law.
Please note: while interns will support key office functions and learn about our client services, this internship does not include shadowing attorneys, attending court, writing legal memos, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform various administrative tasks including document preparation, electronic filing, correspondence management, and data entry, with a willingness to take on new tasks as they arise.
- Approach day-to-day responsibilities with a hands-on attitude and readiness to support team members across functions.
- Gain exposure to the variety of clients we serve as a veterans’ disability law firm.
Qualifications:
- Actively pursuing an undergraduate degree at a Providence-area college or university.
- Must be available to work January 6 – May 6, 2025
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with comfort speaking on the phone.
- An eagerness to learn and adapt to a range of responsibilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Availability:
The intern must be available to work in the office on Tuesdays between 10-12 pm. Other hours are flexible but must be completed between 9 am and 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Training & Mentorship:
The intern will report to our Learning & Development Coordinator and will receive hands-on training, mentorship, and valuable learning opportunities beyond the daily tasks, helping them develop skills relevant to and professional work environment.
