
Miles & Stockbridge seeks to hire summer associates to join the firm in our Baltimore, DC, or Richmond offices in the summer of 2026. We provide our summer associates real-life opportunities to learn about our firm, our colleagues, and our vision. Our summer associate program is our most important source of entry-level associate hiring, and we hire with the expectation that successful summer associates will join us as associates.
Our goal is to have the summer associate experience mirror the life of a first-year associate. Summer associates receive substantive assignments and projects. Our summer associates are energized by a balance of intellectually stimulating work, educational programs, and social activities, all designed to introduce our summer associates to as many lawyers and practice areas as possible. Interested applicants should be motivated, self-starters with excellent academic credentials, and superior writing, communication, and problem-solving skills.
We encourage interested rising second year law students to review the firm’s practice areas listed on our website to identify preferred areas of law. We anticipate hiring for the following groups: Labor & Employment, Government Contracts/White Collar, Litigation, Corporate & Securities, and Transactional Finance/Real Estate.
