Employment/Class Action Attorney

Hybrid role - Los Angeles, CA

Well&Nest LLC has partnered with a mid-size litigation firm that services the legal needs of companies throughout California. They seek an Associate Attorney Employment/Class Action for their Los Angeles location.

Responsibilities

• Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
• Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
• Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
• Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
• Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience
• Wage and hour experience in class action and PAGA
• Experience managing and analyzing records to assess compliance issues on a representative basis
• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills
• Experience in discovery and law and motion practice.
• Self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills
• Able to work with multiple clients
• Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
• Jobseekers should be members of their local bar association, which is an active member-preferred association
• Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
• Experience managing information (i.e., time records) in Excel
• Computer skills working with iManage and Coyote Analytics preferred

Hybrid Schedule:

3 days in the office (San Diego), 2 days working from home

Competitive Salary Range:

$135,000.00 To 190,000.00 annually plus bonus
