Job Description

Introduction

The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney for Prince William County, Cities of Manassas & Manassas Park is seeking candidates to fill the position of Victim Witness Case Manager.

ABOUT THE ROLE:
The chief objective of this position is to reduce the trauma of victimization and encourage crime victims to cooperate with and participate in the criminal justice system by providing direct services and other program support services as outlined in the Virginia Crime Victim and Witness Rights Act. This role performs administrative activities for the Program including drafting correspondence; maintaining client and program records; data entry; and reception services.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or G.E.D. and 2 years of related experience.


PREFERENCES:
The selected applicant must:  manage a heavy caseload and be organized and thorough. This position must be able to work both independently and collaboratively in an office that values civility, initiative, sound judgment and skilled advocacy.  A working knowledge of case management and crisis intervention techniques is preferred.
   
Special Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university.

STARTING SALARY RANGE: $50,000.00 to $65,000.00/yr.
