Job Description

Resicap, LP is the parent company of several wholly owned U.S. subsidiaries.  Resicap is headquartered in Atlanta, GA with over 250 employees and operations throughout the U.S.  Resicap provides advisory, sourcing, construction management, leasing, property management, property preservation, disposition, title, and capital raising services for institutional level single family real estate needs.  Additionally, Resicap offers property maintenance services, such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, floor cleaning or replacement, roof repairs, landscaping, rekey, and general punch out; and demolition, utilities management, winterization, trash removal, general repairs, lawn maintenance, vacant property verification, property securing, and cash for relocation negotiations.  

Position Purpose:
The Legal Intern will assist Senior Counsel & Risk Officer, on a part-time basis during school and full-time between semesters, in providing advanced legal, compliance, and insurance support to RESICAP, its subsidiaries, and affiliates.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and explain various contractual documents, including revenue contracts, construction & property management agreements, leases, addendums, vendor contracts, and other standard agreements relating to the renovation, leasing, and management of single-family rental properties.
  • Assist in the management of litigation being handled by outside counsel, including the pursuit of insurance coverage under RESICAP’s corporate program & risk transfer to subcontractors and their insurers.
  • Advise operations teams regarding a variety of legal issues that arise during the construction, property management, and disposition phases of an asset.
  • Support various business units on new projects, business initiatives, and partnership opportunities as it pertains to compliance and corporate governance.
  • Expeditiously manage multiple projects, provide counsel, and assess risks around complex legal, compliance, and business issues.

Job Requirements (Including Education):

  • The candidate must be willing to work PT (part-time) during the school year & FT (full-time) during breaks (between semesters) through the pendency of law school (i.e., until he/she graduates)
  • Only 1L and 2Ls will be considered, with a preference for the latter (starting 2Ls)
  • Start date as early as 5.18.26
