The incumbent is required to perform various administrative functions and project-related activities in support of the Claims Litigation Department. ​​ 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
• Administer the intake, assignment, and closure of attorney represented claims.
• Conduct information retrieval and data entry.
• Prepare and maintain various business records, complex indexes, and files.
• Fill requests from internal and external parties regarding attorney represented claims.
• Collect, prepare, and distribute claim and underwriting files to the assigned in-house teammate and/or outside counsel.
• Assist with discovery requests and court filings.
• Effectively manage the Department calendar in order to provide deadlines for lawsuits, trials, and other important deadlines.
• Copy, collate, sort and distribute materials, as well as issue checks and complete reserve posting.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Associate degree (A.A. or A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college, business school, or technical school (preferred)
• 2+ years of related experience

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Licensed Notary Public

FUNCTIONAL SKILLS
• Experience with Microsoft office products including Word, Excel and Outlook as well as web browsers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with others on projects.
• Ability to coordinate and interact with other departments as needed.
