Job Description

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual (Spanish/English) licensed attorney with a strong background or interest in marketing, social media, and public relations. The ideal candidate is not only legally skilled but also a confident communicator—someone who can represent the firm in both traditional media and digital platforms, build community trust, and champion humanitarian causes with authenticity and impact. This role will be supported by our in-house creative agency.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a public-facing representative of the firm across media channels (TV, podcast, social media, community events).
  • Create and appear in content for social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, etc.).
  • Collaborate with internal legal and communications teams to develop messaging that reflects our values and case work.
  • Conduct media interviews, deliver public statements, and appear on-camera for firm-related content and community outreach.
  • Manage public relations initiatives including press releases, partnerships, and event planning.
  • Provide limited legal insight/content where applicable in marketing materials (not direct representation unless designated).
  • Represent the firm at community engagement events and advocacy campaigns.
  • Maintain compliance with ethical standards governing attorneys and firm communications.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
  • Proven on-camera experience (e.g., interviews, public speaking, hosting, video content creation).
  • Demonstrated passion for humanitarian issues (e.g., immigration, civil rights, nonprofit/legal aid work).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with diverse audiences.
  • Must be available for occasional travel to attend community events, media appearances, and firm-sponsored initiatives.
  • Flexibility to participate in after-hours and weekend events as needed to support outreach and advocacy efforts.

Preferred:

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Experience or interest in marketing, communications, or public relations (formal training a plus but not required).
  • Background in immigration law, human rights law, or similar fields.
  • Experience managing or collaborating with creative/media teams.
  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics).
