Senior Litigation Paralegal

Location: Houston, TX (On-site)

Compensation: $77,000 – $102,000 + 8% Target Bonus

We are seeking a seasoned Litigation Paralegal to join their Houston office. This is a role for a paralegal career who thrives in a sophisticated practice, possesses deep commercial instincts, and is ready to act as a strategic partner to a world-class trial team.


The Role: End-to-End Trial & Case Management


You will provide comprehensive support to attorneys within a premier Litigation practice, managing the lifecycle of complex files from initial discovery through trial and appeal.


Key Responsibilities

  • Legal Writing & Research: Proofread, edit, and perform expert cite-checking for legal memorandums and briefs. Utilize Westlaw, Lexis, and Pacer at a professional level.
  • Discovery Management: Coordinate with e-Discovery teams on data collection. Perform relevance, confidentiality, and privilege reviews. Create template discoveries and prepare witness files for depositions.
  • Factual Intelligence: Conduct due to diligence and factual research on parties, experts, and judges via Secretary of State records, corporate profiles, and social media.
  • Trial Powerhouse: Provide full on-site trial support, including monitoring evidence, tracking exhibits, digesting transcripts, and mentoring junior paralegal team members.
  • Appellate Support: Assist with appeals by compiling the Record on Appeal/Joint Appendix and acting as a liaison with appellate printers.
  • Administrative Precision: Coordinate with Docket teams to ensure strict adherence to court rules and deadlines across various jurisdictions.


Who You Are (Qualifications)


  • The Veteran: You have at least six years of substantive litigation experience specifically within a law firm setting. Direct trial, arbitration, or mediation experience is highly preferred.
  • The Technician: You are a power user of the Microsoft Office Suite and Relativity . Experience with legal case management software (such as OPUS 2) is a significant plus.
  • The Academic: A Bachelor's degree is required; A Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is preferred.
  • The Professional: You possess the “Big Law” temperament—you are a self-starter who remains calm under pressure, maintains absolute confidentiality, and can communicate effectively with high-level stakeholders and outside vendors.
