See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe Senior Contract Manager/Paralegal Specialist is responsible for drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing w wide range of contracts while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies. This position collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate contract execution and management, providing legal and administrative support to the General Counsel and contract administrators.
Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including but not limited to vendor agreements, service contracts, and confidentiality agreements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations in all contract-related activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including legal, finance, and procurement teams, to facilitate contract execution and management.
- Maintain and update the contract management system, ensuring all contracts are accurately recorded and easily accessible.
- Provide guidance and support to general counsel and contract administrators in contract-related matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support contract negotiations and dispute resolution.
- Monitor contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of contract management policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the legal and compliance functions of the organization.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to remain current on contract law and best practices.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in contract management or a similar role within a legal department or law firm.
- Strong understanding of contract law and legal terminology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a corporate legal department.
- Familiarity with U.S. contract laws and regulations.
- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
