Job Description

MGC, a highly-respected, technology-driven law firm with 22 offices across the US and growing seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support our Atlanta, GA office. Candidates should be professional, motivated, organized and possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Candidates should also have a four-year degree and/or certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program, along with 2-3 years of insurance defense work experience.  This position offers flexibility regarding a hybrid/remote work arrangement after successful completion of our training period.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Organize files
  • Review bills
  • Prepare various acknowledgement letters to client, insured and commission
  • Log mail into case management software, docket specific deadlines and tasks for attorney(s)
  • Scan and drop appropriate documents into ProLaw (pleadings, e-filings, etc.)
  • Coordinate IME’s and request medical records
  • Draft discovery
  • Review medical records and prepare medical chronologies 
  • Prepare settlement documents
  • General follow up
  • Works as a member of a team
  • Accepts change in a productive manner

Performs other duties as assigned.
