Job Description

General Summary:

The Grand Jury Intake Case Review Administrative Assistant is responsible for requesting, receiving, scanning, and uploading of all evidentiary items needed for the successful prosecution of a case. The administrative assistants are responsible ensuring that digital casefiles are complete and contain all needed records. The administrative assistant works closely with the Grand Jury Intake Case Review ADAs to ensure that all evidence that is required to make appropriate charging decisions had been acquired and uploaded to the DAO case management software systems. They may be required to answer phones, receive mail, and scan documents into electronic storage.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Submitting requests for evidence
  • Uploading received evidence
  • Typing/Reviewing charging instruments before efiling
  • Answering phone calls
  • Meeting with ADAs and Supervisors
  • Training

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Basic Computer skills, including typing
  • eCharge systems
  • Familiarity with Coreforce, Evidence Library, evidence.com
  • CCH, eCase, and other related DAO systems
  • Microsoft Office Suite

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma

Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department.

Salary (Starting):

  • $22.44 hourly/ $46,675.20 annually
  • $27.18 hourly / $56,534.40 annually w/ College Degree
