Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Junior Associate Attorney to join our team in Pearland, TX. The ideal candidate will have recently graduated from an accredited law school and is passionate about pursuing a career in [areas of law, e.g., litigation, corporate law, etc.]. Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
- Assist senior attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and mediation
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, agreements, and other legal correspondence.
- Assist with case management tasks, including document review, discovery, and trial preparation.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders professionally and courteously.
- Interview clients and witnesses to gather information and evidence.
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and client meetings under the supervision of senior attorneys
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal staff to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
- Stay updated on changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to the firm's practice areas.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance legal skills and knowledge
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Texas or eligibility to waive in.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with family law procedures and principles (minimum 5 years experience required)
