Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Franchise Paralegal to support our legal team in franchise-related matters. This role involves assisting with the preparation, review, and management of franchise agreements and other ancillary documents, disclosure documents, regulatory compliance, and general corporate legal matters. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate transactional matters, franchise law, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDD): Assist in drafting, reviewing, and updating FDDs to ensure compliance with federal and state franchise laws.
- Franchise Agreements: Prepare and manage franchise agreements, amendments, renewals, and terminations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and manage franchise state registration filings, renewals, and related compliance requirements.
- Due Diligence: Conduct research on and prepare summary of franchise laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Legal Support: Assist attorneys in handling disputes, terminations, and other franchise-related legal matters.
- Document Management: Maintain and organize legal files, contracts, and franchise-related records within document management system.
- Correspondence: Communicate with franchisees, regulatory agencies, and internal teams regarding legal matters.

- Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree (preferred but not required)
- Paralegal certification (preferred but not required).
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in corporate transactions, M&A, real estate, franchise law or a related legal field.
- Knowledge of franchise disclosure regulations, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Franchise Rule, and state franchise laws (preferred but not required)..
- Strong research, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management software.
