As a Paralegal at Gorospe Law Group, you’ll play a key role in supporting litigation from pre-suit through trial, mentoring other case managers, coordinating medical records, assisting with strategy, and helping the firm maintain its reputation for client care and successful outcomes. You’ll be working side-by-side with our lead attorney and other legal professionals to ensure cases move forward efficiently and with the highest standards of professionalism. What you’ll do:

• Case Management: Manage the progression of multiple personal injury cases from intake through resolution, ensuring timely movement through all phases, including pre-litigation and litigation.
• Case Coordination: Act as the central point of contact between clients, medical providers, vendors, and attorneys; coordinate deadlines, follow-ups, and task assignments to ensure all parties are aligned and cases move forward efficiently and strategically.
• Medical Records Management: Request, track, and organize medical records and bills; review and summarize treatment histories to support case valuation, strategy, and settlement preparation.
• Client Engagement & Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, offering clear, empathetic communication, providing regular updates, and helping clients feel supported throughout the legal process.
• File Maintenance & Organization: Maintain and organize digital and physical case files with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that all records, correspondence, and evidence are up to date and accessible.
• Preparing Documents: Draft and review pleadings, motions, subpoenas, medical record requests, and other legal documents with accuracy and in alignment with the firm’s standards.
• Legal Research & Analysis: Conduct legal research to support case strategy, assist with summarizing findings, and provide analytical insights that help shape legal arguments.
• Discovery & Litigation Support: Assist with all aspects of the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests and responses, reviewing opposing counsel’s discovery, coordinating production, and preparing case materials for mediation, deposition, and trial.
• Workflow & Process Improvement: Take an active role in developing and implementing best practice workflows and procedures, contributing ideas and solutions that drive operational efficiency and directly support the firm’s growth.

What we’re looking for: 

• Experience: At least 5+ years of experience as a paralegal within personal injury, with experience in litigation and trial support.
• Big-Picture Case Management: Strong understanding of  personal injury case progression, with the ability to anticipate next steps, and approach each case with a big-picture, forward-thinking mindset.
• Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); experience using legal software, case management platforms, and leveraging AI tools is highly advantageous.
• Client-Focused: Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and a passion for treating clients with empathy and professionalism.
• Detail-Oriented: Highly organized and methodical in managing multiple complex cases and documentation.
• Organization & Task Management: Demonstrated ability to stay highly organized while managing multiple priorities, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and efficiency.
• Independent: Self-starter with strong initiative; able to manage responsibilities and meet deadlines without requiring constant supervision or direction.
• Collaboration & Mentorship: Works effectively as part of a team, with the ability to mentor and support junior team members, delegate tasks thoughtfully, and foster a culture of accountability and shared success.
