What You'll Do

• Assist attorneys in client intake and the preparation of bankruptcy filings, including petitions, schedules, and statements.
• Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support cases.
• Organize and manage case files using Document Management Systems.
• Prepare legal documents and correspondence as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of case progress and deadlines through effective case management skills.
• Communicate with clients, creditors, and court personnel regarding case issues.
• Support litigation matters by preparing necessary documents and evidence for court proceedings.
• Collaborate with team members on project management tasks related to bankruptcy cases.
• Assist in billing clients.
• Undertake general administrative tasks in the office, as needed          

What You Need

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in bankruptcy law.
• Proven experience as a paralegal in bankruptcy and related fields.
• Strong understanding of Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 (including Subchapter V) bankruptcy procedures (federal and local).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
• Proficient in using Document Management Systems and other legal software tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of litigation processes is beneficial

       

Salary & Benefits

• Location: Hybrid in Los Angeles, CA.
• Annual Salary: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 +, depending on experience and qualifications.
• This is a full-time, long-term position.
