Law Offices of James Scott Farrin See More Job Openings by This EmployerThe NC Eminent Domain Law Firm is seeking a driven individual with a high focus on providing excellent customer service to potential clients who reach out to our firm daily for legal assistance. Our firm culture is unique, and our standards are high - if the following description resonates, we'd like to hear from you.
About the Firm:
Providing excellent legal service to our clients is our calling. We handle claims across the entire state of North Carolina, and we believe we have the ability and responsibility to make a difference for regular people facing disruption from government construction. We’re in the unique situation of having a firm that practices eminent domain exclusively, yet we are under the umbrella of the Law Offices of James Scott Farrin, one of the largest firms in the Southeast. We are excited to put our skills, resources, and experience to work for our clients each day and we hope you are too!
About the Intake Paralegal opening:
Do you enjoy helping others? Want to be a calming presence for callers during a confusing legal situation? In this important role, as the first impression of our firm, you will work alongside our attorneys to answer new calls, chats and emails from people losing their property due to condemnation. We’re looking for a compassionate person who is a great communicator and highly professional. This person will need to be a high achiever with character, strong values, and a good teammate.
What The Day Looks Like:
This is primarily a client-facing role with calls and emails on a variety of eminent domain topics arising daily. Important to the role will be customer service skills and attention to detail and organization, as the candidate will be shepherding potential clients from their first contact with the firm through signing as a client. The candidate gathers information from the caller, schedules attorneys’ phone calls and pulls public documents to help the attorneys evaluate the potential case. If it is a viable case, you will work to sign the client, including communicating with the potential client to answer or direct their questions to the appropriate attorney, explaining the benefits of our firm’s representation, drafting and sending the signing package, and following up on all necessary documents. As with any client-facing practice, effective communication with clients is key to a candidate’s success.
