Zwicker is presently seeking a Litigation Operations Assistant to join our team. Applicants shall be versed in the litigation process, document preparation, and management of deadlines. Prior creditor rights experience is a plus but not required. Applicants should be organized and detail oriented and be able to work independently.
The base hourly rate for this position is $18.00.
Responsibilities
- Review and process litigation documents from multiple states
- Data entry for litigation specific documents
- Communicate with branch sites in each state when errors need correction, or clarification is required to effectively process litigation documents
- Basic scanning and copying
- Comply with all applicable standard operating procedures set forth by the Firm and its clients
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Litigation Operations Team
- 1 year in a legal environment
- Ability to use discretion and handle confidential information
- Ability to meet deadlines and produce high quality work product
- Experience with editing, revising, and drafting of legal documents
- High level of proficiency with proofreading documents
- Strong attention to detail and top-notch organizational skills
- Strong computer skills (specifically Microsoft Word and Excel)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
Physical Qualifications
- Be able to lift five pounds or greater
- Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times
- Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
- Be able to read and comprehend position specific documents and correspondence
- Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing
- Be able to travel occasionally when needed by the most efficient means of transportation
- Be able to operate a computer, phone, or equivalent device
- Be able to complete a minimum of a 40-hour flexible workweek schedule
