In-House Commercial Contracts Attorney

Position Summary
The Contracts Attorney supports the Chief Legal Officer in legal duties to LCPtracker, performing a variety of legal tasks and work product.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Liaises with internal and external clients on a range of matters, with a strong focus on timely execution of customer contracts.

Analyzes and interprets contracts and provides thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues.

Assists with preparation of training materials and SOP’s.

Oversees the contract management system/ databases utilized by the Legal team and assists with general legal files organization.

Management of internal legal templates.

Implements good practices in contract review, negotiation, and management.

Works with internal stakeholders to respond to RFP’s in a timely and organized fashion.

Researches, analyzes, and summarizes information from a variety of sources including other departments, government offices, websites, and hard copy files.

Works diligently to ensure that both our internal and external clients are satisfied.

Assists with other special projects and performs general legal and administrative duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

Applicants must have 2+ years' experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing a wide variety of corporate and commercial contracts.

Excellent academic credentials from a U.S. accredited law school.

Effective communication skills.

Capability and experience to work independently and with a team.

Outstanding references.

Licensed and in good standing as an attorney in the state of residence.

Negotiating experience preferred.

Experience in Employment Law a plus.
Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment and the role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, mobile devices, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Requirements
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; frequently required to talk and hear, use hands and fingers to type, scroll and use computer equipment. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection of text/data in both print and electronic forms.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time non-exempt position. Days/hours worked are dependent on the workload at the time. General availability and presence in the office is expected during regular business hours, three days each week. However, some flexibility is allowed. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Travel
There is no major travel requirement for this position. However, infrequent travel may be necessary to visit remote office(s), attend conferences/industry events, etc. Attendance at our corporate Staff Retreat is required. This event is a 2-3-day retreat. Attendance at our annual User Conference as assigned.
