Job Summary\:
Provides a wide range of legal policy and process support for the Legal Department. Duties include providing general guidance to patients and other departments relating to legal processes and policies. Responds to requests from outside attorneys and other vendors and establishing and maintaining Legal Department files.
This position will support Revenue Cycle and requires strong customer services skills, clear communication, and experience in a high-volume practice with measurable metrics. Tasks include\: reviewing outstanding accounts, medical records and insurance remittances, making appropriate notes; drafting appropriate correspondence and pleadings, engaging with patients during the legal collections process including pre-litigation and mediation, providing litigation support, reviewing bankruptcy dockets and filings, drafting probate and bankruptcy claims, and supporting the associate general counsel in other tasks as assigned.
Education:
Required\: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree in related field.
Preferred\: Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
Required\: At least three years' experience in legal offices with relevant responsibilities.
Preferred\: Prefer at least two years' experience as a paralegal in a bankruptcy law firm.

Department Position Summary:
- Assist attorneys in Legal Department in managing workflow in the Department.
- Oversee contract submission and approval process.
- Serve as administrator of MediTract System and manage input of documents into the MediTract System.
- Assist attorneys and Chief Compliance Officer in meeting all arrangements procedures.
- Monitor and oversee MediTract training of Erlanger personnel.
- Serve as primary liaison with TractManager, vendor of MediTract.
- Assist attorneys in the Legal Department in revising and updating contracts and other legal documents as requested.
- Provide guidance to the executive administrative assistant in maintaining an accurate and orderly filing system for Legal Department.
- Maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Present self and position appropriately to hospital visitors and patients at all times.
- Reports for work as scheduled.
- Complete all mandatory training requirements.
- Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrate loyalty to management, departmental and Erlanger goals.
