The Antitrust eDiscovery Attorney will be responsible for actively participating and consulting on the e-discovery process and workstreams for assigned litigation matters, engaging in all aspects of the EDRM (Electronic Discovery Reference Model), including liaising between vendors and client eDiscovery personnel, and participating in custodian interviews when necessary. This role will be located in our Washington, D.C. office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Other key responsibilities include:
- Creating and participating in document review and privilege log workflows in collaboration with eDiscovery vendors and Latham attorneys
- Reviewing and revising drafts of relevant electronically stored information (ESI) protocols in accordance with the Firm’s best practices
- Acting as a primary point of contact with eDiscovery vendors through the eDiscovery lifecycle, including assisting with tracking eDiscovery costs and working with internal resources to address any billing issues
- Analyzing search terms, technology-assisted review (TAR) protocols, and the scope and format of privilege logs, and working with the associate team to execute same
- Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains

- Exhibit the ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment with a customer-service focus
- Possess organizational skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and have ability to handle multiple deadlines
- Have conducted 2nd- or 3rd-tier document review in some capacity
And have:
- A JD or an equivalent
- Admission to the relevant state bar
- A minimum of five (5) years of eDiscovery experience in either a law firm or at an eDiscovery vendor
- Experience at both a law firm and eDiscovery vendor, preferably
- Expertise with review platforms (e.g., Relativity, etc.), processing engines, (e.g., Nuix, Law, etc.), and TAR applications (e.g., Brainspace, Relativity Assisted Review, etc.)
