
Job Summary:
The Legal Assistant will provide vital administrative and operational support to the legal team, assisting with daily tasks to ensure smooth office operations and legal matter management. This position involves a blend of administrative, legal, and client support duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Answer phones, greet visitors, and assist with front desk responsibilities as needed.
- Support paralegals by opening/closing matters, redacting documents, eFiling, and basic drafting.
- Collect and scan handwritten attorney notes for digital filing and organization.
- Assist the office shareholder with special projects and day-to-day tasks.
- Maintain office supplies, snacks, and beverages to support a comfortable work environment.
- Act as a courier by delivering legal documents to courthouses and other locations when necessary.
- Drop off outgoing mail at the post office and make bank deposits as required.
- Prepare and draft contracts using the firm’s document management software.
- Serve as backup Consult Coordinator when needed.
- Perform other administrative tasks as assigned, following firm protocols and procedures.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and good judgment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- High School Diploma or GED required
- One or more years of administrative experience required OR one year of Legal Assistant/Secretary experience
- Prior experience in a legal or law firm setting preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
