Job Description

Introduction

Come and be a part of Prince William County’s Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court as a deputy clerk.  In this role you will be a part of a dedicated support team with a passion for providing a service to the stakeholders of the community.

About This Role: The position of deputy clerk within the Prince William County Juvenile & Domestic Relations District Court is assigned operational responsibilities in a fast paced, high-volume data entry office with critical frequent deadlines.   You will ensure the courts instructions are executed, and legal documents are prepared with accuracy in accordance with appropriate policies and procedures.  All training is provided.  Candidates serve at the pleasure of the Chief Judge in this at-will position.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferences: 

* Court or legal experience

* Business, or office related experience

* Detailed Oriented

* Organized

* Multi-tasker

* Be able to work independently

* Type 35 WPM

* Knowledge of Microsoft processing programs

Special Requirements: Must be able to pass a background check.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
