Legal Intern
Location: Avery Island, LA

In this role, you’ll do things like:
- Perform administrative/clerical functions, i.e., composing/typing correspondence, photocopying, faxing, scanning, telephone assistance, filing and calendaring.
- Conduct and summarize in-depth research of data found on the internet, particularly that of social media sites, that include, but are not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, e-commerce sites such as Amazon, eBay and Etsy, trademark registries such as the United States Patent and Trademark Office, as well as Secretary of State websites.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and disseminating materials for use with existing files.
- Assist with updating files in the Department’s database and monitoring such files through completion.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Must-haves to apply:
- Currently attending college
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Attention to detail
- Extensive internet research skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Reliable home internet connection with your own personal computer if needed for virtual work as needed
- Be able to work 16-20 hours a week (up to 24 hours maximum per week)

- Pre-law major or considering a career in the legal field
- Prior experience working in a law firm or other legal department

Pay: $12.00/hour
